Hooked on Nokomis Wedding and Event Barn is a picture perfect venue for any occasion. Nestled between the trees and lakes of beautiful Nokomis, Wisconsin’s historic farmland, this newly renovated state of the art 1890s barn, provides the ideal mix of natural rustic with luxury amenities, and a touch of boho glam. The venue offers many breathtaking areas that can be used for ceremonies and parties, which include inside the barn, in front of the bear garden, under the sparkly light up tree and a beautiful barn backdrop. The barn has a stage, two bars, restrooms and a groomsman room. The outdoor space has a Chevy bar cart multiple fire pits and games to enjoy. Hooked on Nokomis also has a beautiful four bedroom farmhouse (three day rental) that includes a bridal changing room. Cheryl and Mark originally purchased the property to remodel and sell it.
Cheryl envisioned something else when the couple went to a grade school
friends wedding in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, at a barn of all places. They were so
inspired they decided to keep the property and remodel the barn for weddings and events. When Cheryl and Mark moved to Wisconsin, from Las Vegas, they started remodeling homes and buying property to rent out. Mark built over 1,000 homes in Las Vegas. With the owners epic background in the Las Vegas music and real estate scene, Hooked on Nokomis was designed for more than just weddings and private parties – it was a labor of love with music as the mindset. Cheryl used to work at the famous Sand Dollar Blues Lounge in Las Vegas for years. The lounge had live music every night and she meet lots of musicians and became friends with them, including the Righteous Brothers, BB King, Charlie Tuna, Stoney Curtis and Huey Lewis to name a few. Mark was in multiple college bands. He sings, plays the guitar and loves karaoke. He also has friends in the music industry, including Don Carlos and Slightly Stupid. They infused their musical roots into the Northwoods where the barn hosts concerts throughout the season bringing in local and national acts.
